Since its inception in 1980, Hunter Soccer Camp has continued to gain a reputation for it’s excellence of instruction and player development on and off the soccer field. Our philosophy is simple – “success for all players.” With this approach, our carefully selected, highly qualified and well motivated professional coaching staff maintains player enjoyment. Learning the game in this environment ensures our commitment to total player development and the continued success of the camp program.

2021 CAMP DETAILS:

Dates - Monday August 9th to Thursday August 12th, Friday is going to be the rain day if needed.

Time - 9am to Noon

Location - New Penbryn Turf or Penbryn Lower field

Cost - $135/per player - includes Camp shirt and Ball

Ages - 5 to 11 (Birth Years 2016 - 2010)

CURRICULUM - PREMIER SOCCER CAMP

Our Premier Campers are at the age to start learning the fundamental ball skills and tactics of the game.  From beginners to high school varsity hopefuls, our staff will work with each individual and maximize their skill set.  Through a series of adaptive and progressive activities our camp meets the needs of each player.  Fun games, skills competitions and team events are the basis of our training for Premier Campers.

Our Goals for the week include:

  • Individual skill and mental development
  • Technical, tactical, and overall game awareness
  • Encouragement of all players
  • Team Building
  • Sportsmanship, respect for other players
  • Respect for the Game of Soccer

HISTORY OF CAMP:

At HSC we understand that all players learn at their own pace, each camper is a unique challenge for us to develop. Our coaching methodology is a blend of training techniques from around the world (NSCAA and USSF,) combined with the experience of 30 plus years running the Hunter Summer Soccer camp program. Our staff are true professionals with a passion for teaching the game. We will place your child in an age and skill appropriate group and focus on the development of their technical and tactical abilities.
With over 30 of infuence on the surround communities we truly believe in the Club and Community relationship. At Hunter Soccer Camp we encourage players to grow with the Club, from intramurals through to travel, and beyond.

HUNTER SOCCER CAMP FAQs:

If in the event you are unable to attend camp, you will receive a refund as defined below. Please understand that this policy is not intended to be an aggravation or nuisance, but is necessary in order for us to provide a high level camp experience. Refunds will be given in the form of a check. Cancellation notice must be submitted in writing via e-mail to huntersoccercamp@gmail.com Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the start of camp will be awarded a full refund minus a $25 Deposit/Processing Fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start of camp due to illness or injury we will issue a full refund minus the $25 Deposit/Processing Fee. No refunds will be provided for missing a day, leaving early or expulsion from camp. If camp is cancelled more than 1x due to lighting, we will do our best to make up the lost time. It is rare that much time is lost due to bad weather. THIS IS SOCCER CAMP - If the Coaches and Management find that your child is refusing to participate in the Premier or Keeper camp, we reserve the right to require a parent to stay with them to help with encouraging them or we can refund you 50% of your camp payment.
All campers should bring plenty of water and a snack. Sunscreen & bug spray should be applied before camp if needed. All campers should wear Shorts, tee shirt, sneakers or cleats. All children 5 years old and older must wear shin guards. Sneakers are fine but we encourage the older children to wear soccer cleats. Children will receive a HSC tee shirt at the start of camp which we encourage them to wear during the week. Please mark all of your equipment with your name with a permanent marker.
Yes. The safety of your children is our number one priority. On field and off the field children are under the constant direction of our coaches and assistants. All campers are to be picked up promptly at the end of camp. If the Coaches and Management find that your child is refusing to participate in the camp, we reserve the right to require a parent to stay with them to help with encouraging them or we can refund you 50% of your camp payment.
